PE foams - durable and strong
Made from high-density polyethylene (PE) foams such as Plastazote, Jiffycell and Stratocell, our PE packaging foam products are the material of choice when a high level of protection is required.
With a range of densities and colours, including black conductive and pink anti-static foams, PE foams are easy to cut to any shape, durable, hydrophobic and re-usable, making them ideal for fragile goods such as electronic equipment and components.
Polyurethane packaging foams
At Technical Foam Services, we maintain a large inventory of flexible polyurethane foams (both polyether and polyester) for packaging goods, spanning a wide range of colours, grades, thicknesses and firmness, which includes:
- Chipfoam - also known as reconstituted foam, chipfoam is formed from pieces of scrap PU, which is bonded together. Available in a range of densities, it is an effective and extremely economical solution for a wide range of packaging requirements
- Egg-crate foam - this is a polyether foam cut on a special machine to create an overlapping shape that is highly effective in packaging.

Conductive Foam
Saturated with carbon particles for dissipating static charges, conductive foam is a plastic foam most commonly used for storing particularly static-sensitive electronics; making this foam the most ideal for large electronic goods retailers.
Conductive foam offers a much higher level of protection for such items than other alternatives, and because they are part of the PR foam family, are incredibly easy for the experts at Technical Foam Services to cut to any shape or size.
Anti-static Foam
Anti-static foam sheets are quite similar to conductive foam products, in that they are frequently utilised as the most durable of packaging foams for holding sensitive electronic equipment. All of the anti-static foam available from us at Technical Foam Services is chemically treated to resist static optimally, and is even dense enough to hold any inserted leads securely.
High Density Foam
The rule of thumb with all foam is that the higher the density, the more protection offered. High density foam is sought-after for organisations and individuals with incredibly prized or heavy possessions, as it is able to absorb more impact than lower density foams.
High density foam has a closed cell construction, which is what gives this material such a superior high load bearing.
